Effective Date: February 22, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") covers the products, services, and technologies provided by trayn (collectively, the "Products"), including the web application, browser extension, SDK, APIs, sandbox environments, and curated benchmarks. It is designed to protect us, our customers, and the broader internet community from unethical, irresponsible, and illegal activity.
Customers found engaging in activities prohibited by this Policy may have their access suspended or their account terminated. In extreme cases, we may be legally obligated to report violations to relevant authorities.
1. Fair Use
We provide our Services with the assumption that your use will fall within normal business operations. If your usage is deemed excessive (e.g., generating an unreasonable number of recordings, sandbox environments, or API requests), additional fees may apply or capacity may be restricted.
We are opposed to all forms of abuse, discrimination, and rights infringement. We expect our customers and their end-users to engage with our Products responsibly.
2. Customer Accountability
You are responsible for your own actions and the actions of anyone using the Products through your account, whether authorized or not. This responsibility extends to ensuring reasonable security measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access.
By using our Products, you agree to ensure compliance with this Policy by all end-users of your account. If you or your end-users violate this Policy, we reserve the right to terminate your access without notice. No credit will be issued for service interruptions resulting from Policy violations.
3. Recording Guidelines
When using our browser extension or any recording functionality:
- Authorization required — Only record workflows on websites you are authorized to access and where recording does not violate the website's terms of service.
- No sensitive data harvesting — Do not use recordings to collect personal data, trade secrets, confidential business information, or other sensitive content from third-party websites.
- Review anonymization — Review anonymization results before sharing or publishing sandboxes. While our pipeline automatically detects and replaces personal data, no automated system is perfect.
- No credential capture — Do not create recordings that intentionally capture login credentials, API keys, or other authentication secrets belonging to third parties.
- Respect robots.txt and access restrictions — Do not record websites that explicitly prohibit automated access via robots.txt, CAPTCHAs, or technical access controls. Do not circumvent these mechanisms.
- Avoid sensitive sites — Exercise caution when recording websites that predominantly host sensitive personal data (health forums, financial account portals, dating platforms, sites used primarily by minors). You bear sole responsibility for compliance with applicable data protection laws when recording such content.
4. Sandbox and SDK Use
When using sandbox environments or the @trayn/agent-sdk:
- Legitimate training only — Use sandboxes exclusively for training, benchmarking, and evaluating AI agents for lawful purposes.
- No attack training — Do not use the platform to train agents for unauthorized access, credential stuffing, account takeover, web scraping in violation of terms, or any form of cyberattack.
- No evasion training — Do not train agents to bypass CAPTCHAs, security measures, rate limits, or bot detection systems of third-party websites.
- No automated fraud — Do not train agents to conduct fraudulent transactions, fake reviews, social engineering, or impersonation.
- Respect rate limits — Do not make excessive API calls that could degrade service for other users. Respect any published rate limits and fair-use guidelines.

- using the grading or memory systems to generate misleading benchmark results or metrics.
5.5 Impersonation
We prohibit impersonation of trayn, misrepresentation of your relationship with us, or false claims of ownership of our Products or brand for the purpose of gaining trust, service, or patronage.
6. Export Controls and Sanctions
You may not use the Products if you are located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country subject to United States trade sanctions or embargoes. You may not use the Products if you are listed on the U.S. Treasury Department's Specially Designated Nationals List or any other applicable restricted party list. You may not use the Products to develop or train AI systems for any entity subject to these restrictions.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this Policy, please report it to abuse@trayn.ai.
